Sharing recent updates, previous repairs, or any troubleshooting steps already attempted is also extremely helpful. The more information provided, the faster and more precise we are able to in identifying the issue and offering the best repair solution.
We highly recommend that customers back up their data before bringing in any device for repair to ensure their personal information remains safe and accessible. While we make sure to handle every device with great care, certain repairs especially those involving storage drives, system failures, or hardware replacements can carry a small risk of data loss. Creating a backup protects your important files, photos, documents, and settings in case the repair process requires a full reset or results in unexpected data corruption. This simple step provides peace of mind and helps ensure your information remains secure throughout the repair process.
We will promptly notify the customer before proceeding. These issues were not initially visible or disclosed beforehand. Any additional repairs, parts, or labor required as a result of these findings may result in revised costs and extended completion time. No additional work will be performed without the customer’s authorization. Declining recommended repairs may affect device functionality or reliability, and we cannot guarantee performance for issues that remain unaddressed. Sam’s Tech Center provides a one-year limited warranty covering parts and labor only for the specific repair we performed, and only when a defect is directly caused by our workmanship or the replacement part. If the same issue returns or a repaired part fails within the warranty period, we will re-repair the device, replace the part, or, if neither option is possible, offer a partial or full refund for the part. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, drops, liquid exposure, unauthorized repairs, normal wear and tear, software issues, or problems unrelated to the original repair, nor does it cover data loss or any incidental or consequential damages. To qualify for warranty service, the device must not be opened or modified after our repair, and customers must report issues promptly.
